I got some genuinely useful functional advice from the visits, and the tips were easy to apply. That said, the appointments felt pricey for what I was getting. Maybe I’m missing something, but I left feeling a little unsure if the value matched the cost.
"Insurance billing turned into a mess"
I was told my insurance was taken care of, so I figured everything was fine. Then out of nowhere, I got billed the full price. How does that even happen? I reached out to support, but they just kept sending me in circles with no clear answer. What was I supposed to do with that?

"It didn’t really feel that personal"
I don’t know, I was probably expecting a bit more personal attention. Everyone was nice enough, but the whole visit felt kind of rushed. I tried to explain my concerns, but I’m not sure they were really listening, and I had to repeat myself a few times. I left feeling a little unsure about everything. It wasn’t a terrible experience or anything, but I don’t think I’d go back.

The location worked fine for me, honestly. It was easy enough to get to, which is mostly what I cared about. Nothing really stood out as amazing or anything, but it did the job and I didn’t have any issues getting there.

I went in for a visit and was told I’d hear back, but I never got a call. Frustrating when you’re waiting on a response. save your time and go somewhere that actually follows up.

"Solid massage, but the cold room was avoidable"
I got a massage here and the actual bodywork was really good. My shoulder felt so much better afterward, which was exactly what I needed. The only downside was that the room felt a bit too cold, and that seemed avoidable. Still, overall it was a good experience and I’d consider going back

"Not really worth it for IV therapy"
I went in for IV therapy hoping it would help, I just felt rushed the whole time. The staff wasn’t very clear about what was going on, and I left feeling pretty much the same as when I came in. Overall, it was disappointing.

I had an aesthetic treatment done here, i’m not happy with the results. It came out looking uneven and just wasn’t what I asked for. The staff were nice enough, but at the end of the day, does that really matter if you leave feeling upset about your face? I was hoping for a much better experience and definitely wouldn’t go back.

The practitioner clearly knew their stuff, so I’ll give them that. But the whole visit felt kind of rushed, like they were trying to hurry me out the door. Not a bad experience overall, just a bit of a conveyor-belt situation

Booked online without much trouble, but had to poke around to find the right time. Confirmation came through, just slower than I expected. Not bad overall, just could be smoother.

I was already feeling a bit stressed at the time, so the unclear communication made the whole experience harder than it needed to be. I didn’t always know what was happening or what to expect next.
When I asked questions, the answers I got felt vague, that just left me more confused. I was hoping for simple, straightforward info, but it didn’t really come across that way.
Maybe other people wouldn’t mind it or had a smoother experience, but for me it was frustrating. I just needed clearer updates and felt like I didn’t really get them.

"Pretty relaxing spot overall"
I stopped in mostly just to check the place out, it had a really calm feel right away. It wasn’t too loud or overly formal or anything, just kind of easy to settle into.
The lighting and layout were probably my favorite parts. It felt clean but still warm, and the waiting area didn’t have that awkward vibe some places have, you know?
I’m giving it 4 stars only because it did feel a little busy here and there, so the quiet atmosphere got interrupted a bit. But overall, yeah, it’s still a really nice and relaxing place

"Parking could’ve been handled better"
I liked the place overall, but parking was a bit of a hassle. It took me a while to find a spot anywhere close, which kind of makes you wonder if they thought through the parking situation enough.

"Front desk felt a little rushed"
The place itself seemed perfectly fine, but my first impression at the front desk wasn’t great. I was just asking a couple of basic questions and felt like I was being rushed through, with short answers. Maybe they were having a busy day or something, but it made the whole check-in feel a bit awkward. Weirdly, I remember there was a tiny rubber duck sitting near the computer, which made the vibe feel even more random. Hopefully they can work on being a little warmer and more welcoming

"Nice place, but the wait kept changing"
Overall, it was an okay visit. The staff were friendly and the place seemed clean, so no complaints there. The frustrating part was the wait. I showed up on time, but then it felt like the goalposts kept moving, first it was going to be just a little longer, then a bit more, and I didn’t really get much of an update in between. Once I finally got seen, everything was fine, but the appointment timing could definitely be managed better. Not a terrible experience, just a little annoying

Overall, I had a comfortable and relaxing experience. The atmosphere was calm and easy to settle into, which I really appreciated. There were just a few minor things here and there that kept it from feeling like a full 5-star stay for me, but nothing that completely ruined the experience.

Canceling was also more of a hassle than I expected. Maybe I’m reading into it, but from the tone of the messages I got, it kind of felt like they were trying to make the process more difficult than it needed to be. Overall, not a terrible experience, just not really worth it for me

I’ll give Alive and Well Austin credit for being upfront about their pricing. I didn’t have to spend forever hunting around or make a phone call just to get a basic idea, which was nice. That said, I still felt like I had to put in more effort than I wanted to figure out what was actually included with some of the services. A little more detail would’ve saved me some back-and-forth. Overall, it felt honest and not salesy, so I’d still give them 4 stars.
